Are we putting too much faith in “The Cloud”?
In the last few years “Cloud Computing” has become the buzz word on the Internet, and everyone is offering “Cloud Services”. But what is “The Cloud” and are we putting too much faith in it?
According to Wikipedia, “Cloud computing is a way of computing, via the Internet, that broadly shares computer resources instead of using software or storage on a local PC”
Flickr vs Drupal
As you can see by the last two posts I have been experimenting with the Flickr BlogAPI. It isn't going very well because Flickr doesn't seem to like Drupal.
When the photo is transfered from Flickr to my site it allows me to add a title and some body text, but it does not allow me to add and tags. So the post is send and posted to my site with a title and body text, the photo is included within the body text. To display the photo, and the text in the body Flickr uses some quite hefty HTML, which isn't initially supported on the Drupal page, therefore causing the post not to show until I go and edit the input format to full HTML, and add Tags.
